Terms & Fees

Following is information on our terms and fees:

  1. 14 to 36 month retainer contracts are more cost-effective than per-diem rates.

  2. The longer the contract, the more economical the fee.

  3. Rates for weekdays are more cost-efficient than rates for weekends.

  4. Day rates stop after 8 hours. After 8 hours, the balance is billed per the hourly rate quoted in your contract.

  5. We will accommodate your organization's cash flow schedule prior to contracting.

  6. Contracts will have administrative overhead costs built into the total fee.

  7. The service deliverables will be detailed and included in your contract.

  8. We schedule regular evaluations with you to revise the scope of services and to gauge their relevancy.

  9. Should the cost of service be higher than the retainer fee, you will be billed separately for the difference.

  10. 25% advances on contracts are customary and required.

Our professional standards are in accord with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American Management Association, of which we are members.

Flexibility: A retainer allows the consulting relationship to remain flexible to your changing needs.  We know our long term clients very well, enabling us to anticipate problems and think proactively

Skills Transfer:  A long-term relationship enables a deeper transfer of skills

Cost-Effectiveness: A long-term, retainer-based relationship is cheaper.  It costs around 30% more to hire consultants for short-term projects
